MINDFULNESS MEETS CREATIVE EXPRESSION
Through workshops and one-on-one sessions,
Lisa guides clients in using art as a tool for self-discovery, healing and emotional release.
About THE PRACTICE
SOMA SOUL ART (THROUGH INTENTIONAL CREATIVITY ) IS ABOUT BEING GUIDED THROUGH SELF-DISCOVERY, CONNECTION TO ONESELF, AND TRANSFORMATION.
Founded by Lisa Malanowski after years of exploring ancient wisdom, creative healing, and interior design, Soma Rise Studios embodies Lisa’s transformative journey from the corporate world to holistic wellness and alignment.

Lisa teaches how intention can unlock the door to the inner wisdom inside each of us with the wave of a pencil, marker, or paintbrush.
SOMA SOUL ART IS NOT JUST ANOTHER ART WORKSHOP
It's a unique creative process rooted in the Intentional Creativity® method—a mindfulness-based approach to self-expression, emotional resilience, and transformation. It invites you to create with intention and meaning, using painting, journaling, and guided inquiry to connect with your inner wisdom.
Regardless of your painting experience, you can explore Soma Soul Art. All that's required is a willingness to delve into your inner world. With each brushstroke, shape, and symbol, you begin to access your deeper parts—those often hidden beneath daily stress, old stories, and self-doubt.
This work is about more than making art. It's about making space for your truth, healing, and becoming.

A JOURNEY TO HEALING THROUGH ART
From a young age, I’ve always loved art. As a child, I would spend hours doodling, sketching, and escaping into the world of colors and shapes. But like many, I believed that art as a career was out of reach—I did it for meditation and joy, not for my life’s work.
Instead, I followed a path that felt more aligned with societal expectations, becoming an Interior Designer.
In my career, I focused on creating spaces that mirrored the behaviors of the people who inhabited them, helping to design environments that were functional, aesthetic, and supportive of people’s lives. But over time, something shifted inside me.

After a severe car accident that left me with multiple surgeries and months of recovery, I began to look at life differently.
It was a traumatic time filled with physical and emotional pain, but it was also a time of reflection.
I was realizing that my work, while meaningful, wasn’t fully aligned with who I was becoming.
I was healing, but not just physically—I was healing my soul.
That time in my life inspired me to follow my passions and explore new directions. I began studying healing practices that had always intrigued me—like meditation, Intentional Creativity, Vastu, shamanism, mediumship, Vedic astrology, astrocartography, and Reiki.
ART BECAME MY HEALING MODALITY
During this time, I reconnected with art in a way that went beyond just self-expression—it became my healing modality.
I began to explore Intentional Creativity, a process co-created by visionary artist Curate Shiloh Sophia.
This process had the power to heal and transform in ways I had never experienced before.
It didn’t matter whether I considered myself an artist or not; Intentional Creativity was about bringing mindfulness into the creative process.
It was about using art as a tool for self-discovery and healing.

WHEN I BEGAN MY JOURNEY WITH INTENTIONAL CREATIVITY, IT FELT LIKE COMING HOME.

I REMEMBER THE JOY OF CREATING WITHOUT JUDGEMENT AND LETTING MY EMOTIONS FLOW THROUGH THE PAINTBRUSH.
The more I explored this process, the more I realized how powerful it was—not just for me but also for others.
I decided to deepen my understanding of Intentional Creativity and began studying under Shiloh Sophia, the co-founder of the Intentional Creativity method.
During the pandemic, I enrolled in a year-long training to become a Certified Intentional Creativity Teacher because I wholeheartedly believed in the power of this process.
It had helped me heal, and I wanted to share it with others experiencing burnout, trauma, or a loss of connection to themselves.
Eager to go deeper, I continued my education through Prisma.
Prisma is a year-long intensive program at Musea, where I became a Certified Intentional Creativity Practitioner.
The program provided a strong foundation in the science behind the method and deeply shaped how I approach both creativity and healing.
It reinforced how creative expression can serve as a tool for emotional resilience, stress recovery, and personal transformation—practical benefits I now bring to my work.
Following my transition out of corporate life, I enrolled in Animystica, a six-month program designed to deepen one’s calling through the healing arts in kinship with creation.
The course was a transformative experience, complementing this shift in my life, emphasizing embodied self-expression and working with the natural world as an ally in healing.
During this time, I also wrote a book about my experience—a reflection of the transformation and clarity that emerged through the process.
Through these immersive experiences, I have come to understand that Intentional Creativity is far more than making art—it is a profound process of personal and collective healing, allowing individuals to reclaim their stories, release trauma, and develop sustainable self-care practices through Creativity.
My journey through these programs has enabled me to reclaim my own story and provided me with the tools to guide others in doing the same.
As I dove into the study, I completed multiple certifications through the Musea Center for Intentional Creativity:
-
Certified Teacher (2021)
-
Certified Practitioner (2022)
-
Cura (2024)
These trainings changed my life.
Through the 13-step painting process, metacognitive drawing, and transformational ritual, I learned to rewrite the stories I had carried, and now I help others do the same.

ART HAS ALWAYS BEEN A HEALING MODALITY FOR ME.
SOMA SOUL ART HELPS INDIVIDUALS FIND THEIR HEALING PATHS, ONE BRUSHTROKE AT A TIME.
Soma Soul Art, through Intentional Creativity, is more than just a method; it’s a way of seeing the world. It teaches us to be mindful of what we create—not just on the canvas, but in our lives. Through this process, I’ve learned that what we focus on and think about becomes the energy we put into the world. Whether in art or life, intention matters.
Through workshops, one-on-one sessions, and personal practices, I guide individuals in creating artwork that reflects their soul’s longings, deepest desires, and the breakthroughs they are ready for.
I have witnessed people experience release, clarity, and joy through this process. I’ve seen it transform lives—including my own.
