BECOME AT CAUSE
FOR YOUR OWN TRANSFORMATION

"My work is all about celebrating the creativity within each person.
Each of us is creative, not just some of us, all of us.
Intentional Creativity means to create with mindfulness - to bring our focus to what we are working on with care, attention, and love."
-Shiloh Sophia
THE Lineage
WE GUIDE YOU THROUGH ALIGNMENT OF ENVIRONMENTS AND INNER SELF. INTENTIONAL CREATIVITY IS A MOVEMENT THAT INVITES US TO BRING MINDFULNESS INTO ALL WE CREATE.
This lineage, steeped in artistry, mindfulness, and healing, dates back to the 1930s, during the New Deal era. It began with Lenore Thomas Straus (pictured at the right), a sculptor whose work brought dignity, equality, and empowerment to public spaces.
Lenore was a pioneering figure in the art world, known for her innovative sculpture approach and commitment to social justice.

Lenore Thomas Straus
It is not about talent or being an artist- it's about the universal birthright of creativity we all possess.
Her creative ideals inspired countless women to claim their space in the workforce as artists during a time when such opportunities were scarce. Her influence on the movement is profound, as her work and teachings continue to inspire generations of artists and healers.

In 1952, Lenore recognized a gifted young artist named Sue Hoya Sellars and became her legal guardian and mentor. Sue learned from Lenore the technical skills of art and the transformative power of intention. Concepts of working with inquiry, mindfulness, and the deep connection between creator and creation became the foundation of what we now call Intentional Creativity®.

Sue carried this wisdom forward, teaching her protégé, Shiloh Sophia McCloud, who co-founded the global Intentional Creativity movement. Shiloh's teachings integrate art, mindfulness, and inquiry to create a profound healing experience.
One pivotal moment for Shiloh came when she was working with clay alongside Sue. Frustrated with the process, she joked about buying clay at the store. Sue replied, "Nope. You've got to put your intention into it."
Then, she asked a life-changing question:

"What do you care about seeing changed and healed in the world?"

Shiloh's answer—ending violence against women and children—became the foundation of her creative practice. Sue encouraged her to press this intention into the clay, teaching her that art carries energy and prayers to those who need it most. This moment ignited a global movement, showing how creativity can transform lives.
We all have the same amount of creativity.
It's just how we use and express it."

Art has always been a healing modality for me—a way to express what words cannot.

Listen to the voice of the voyage
as it calls you forward.
Follow it—you are creating more than art; you are making yourself.

I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way- things I had no words for."
Georgia O'Keeffe
Through Intentional Creativity and Medicine Painting, I guide others in accessing internal healing, recovering from burnout, and discovering tools for self-care.
This approach transforms the individual and their relationships, work, and connection to life.

We are not without roots. Each creation continues this powerful lineage—a red thread connecting us to the artists, healers, and visionaries who came before us.
I am honored to continue this thread and help others weave healing, intention, and creativity into their lives.
