Each line shows where a planet was rising, setting, overhead, or below the horizon at the moment you were born.

I GOT HERE
When I first heard about astrocartography—the astrology of place—it sounded like the perfect tool.

Could this be the answer I was looking for?
At first, I imagined astrocartography would point me to one perfect place where love, health, career, and community line up in effortless harmony.
Spoiler alert: that place doesn’t exist, but the map is effective

The map, used as a self-awareness and decision-making tool, proved extremely valuable.​​​
Determined to understand the method, I enrolled in Helena Woods’ year-long and rigorous Astrocartography Certification Program—complete with reviewed case studies and a final practical exam.
​
While working through the coursework, I hit the road to test my own planetary lines and parans firsthand.
I spent more than a year visiting many locations highlighted on my map to experience the various planetary combinations firsthand.
I compared those fresh impressions with memories of other cities I'd lived in or explored.
IT WAS A JOURNEY OF SELF-DISCOVERY AND PERSONAL GROWTH
What I discovered were locations where different parts of my life activated: one city ignited my creativity, another deepened relationships, and a third delivered the calm I’d been craving.

Here’s more of what I found:

The good: Some cities felt like a warm embrace—ideas flowed, doors opened, and new friends appeared almost instantly.

The challenging: On a Mercury-Mars crossing, communication was tangled, and simple tasks became uphill battles.

The Intense: The atmosphere felt edgy and unpredictable in a region where the Uranus and Chiron planetary lines run close together. The routine was disrupted, and old patterns emerged for healing, again and again. While this environment helped gain short bursts of insight, it is too chaotic and unpredictable for a long-term home.

These trips turned theory into firsthand experience and showed me how accurately the map mirrors real-world vibes.
A year later, I completed the certification, adding professional tools to my travel notes:
